THE DYE SUBLIMATION PAPER TECHNOLOGY 

S-RACE dye sublimation paper - not just any heat transfer paper 

A huge technological leap forward in the field of sublimation paper: S-RACE® dye sublimation paper is not just any heat transfer paper. It is in a league of its own due to the groundbreaking high-tech coating. The thick coating of the sublimation paper has a microporous structure and – together with the specially engineered base paper – functions as the perfect receiver of printed sublimation ink. This unique composition, with a high air permeability, provides the heat transfer paper with the ability to absorb and store the sublimation ink, like a sponge, very quickly and precisely. The sublimation ink is then released exactly in the position it has been printed by the sublimation printer – for perfect line sharpness and detailed reproduction sublimating your sublimation blanks. 

Conventional dye sublimation papers or heat transfer papers have a swellable coating technology, that makes the sublimation print less precise. Swellable coatings are thinner with reduced air permeability. The ink lies on top of the sublimation paper and
makes the coating swell, resulting in stronger bleeding and significantly slower drying sublimation prints. 

In comparison, with S-RACE® and its extremely fast drying properties, subsequent production steps can be immediately started after the sublimation transfer – for efficient processes and higher productivity.
