Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA)

ITTA is the only association of the Technical Textile Industry in India covering all 12 segments, including Composites. The office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, facilitated the formation of ITTA. ITTA has over 325 members as of date representing the entire technical textile value chain from raw material to finished goods producers, machinery manufacturers, consultants, centres of excellence and R&D institutes. Its members contribute 75.31% (FY 2019-20) of the total exports of 207 technical textile items from India. The objective of ITTA is to promote, support, develop and increase the production, consumption, and export of technical textiles to make India a powerhouse of technical textiles in the days to come.    

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS- 

1.   Acting as The Voice of the Indian Technical Textile Industry, ITTA regularly coordinates with the central and state governments on issues raised by the Members. Some of the Key Achievements, with the initiatives taken by ITTA, are listed below- 

   i.  National Technical Mission (NTTM) with an outlay of Rs. 1480 Cr is undertaken by GOI to Technical Textiles to be implemented in 2020-2024. 

   ii. Under Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme Rs. 10683 Cr to Boost Technical Textile & MMF Sectors and encourage Exports. 

  iii. 92 Applications were identified for mandatory use across 9 different user Ministries.

  iv. For the first time, 207 HSN Codes for technical Textile products were notified in Foreign Trade Policy, in January 2019. More are being added. 

  v.  Dedicated Export Promotion Council (EPC) for Technical Textiles has been approved by Union Cabinet (GOI) and will be formed soon (ITTA is a leading candidate) 

 vi.  364 Indian standards on TT exist & about 100 more are under development. You can be a part of the 9 BIS sub-committees dedicated to TT. 

 vii. Participate in National & International Exhibitions/Conferences at a discounted rate- due to our strategic alliances with these organizers.  

OTHER SERVICES TO MEMBERS -

i. ITTA has formed dedicated Sectoral Committees on all TT segments to Take care of specific sectoral Issues to Central/State Government in India and also to International bodies. 

ii. Knowledge dissemination by organizing Conferences, Exhibitions, Workshops-members get discounted rates. 

iii. Certificate course on key segments of technical textiles- 4-5 Days online course for the benefits of the Middle & Senior management staff of ITTA members & Non-members, academicians, textile & management students.

iv. Circulate bi-monthly ITTA E-Bulletin to share product innovation and the latest news.
